Resources For Healing

Before I send you off to check out these items, I would like to share a little of how they have helped and encouraged me.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

First and foremost, this devotional has been changing my life. I have for years talked to Jesus as though He was my friend. Even going so far as to include and extra chair, or sit on the side of a park bench to allow space for Jesus to sit with me.

I know, sounds a bit silly, but it does work when your heart is broken and you need the Friend of friends that will never let you down.

Jesus Calling just happened to be a book my best friend told me about, and ever sense I began to read it, my personal walk with Jesus has never been sweeter.

Change Without Thinking by Eldon Taylor

One of my clients from France sent me this DVD as a present for my birthday. What a blessing!

In our men's group, we are learning a lot about fear and control, and how to become aware of it in your life.

Eldon Taylor is amazing as he goes through the working of the subconscious mind and explains with vivid detail and many heart warming stories, why we do and think like we do.

Amazing research and results!

Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradberry & Jean Greaves

While the book is intended for business, I found it profoundly on target related to the spiritual aspects of how I have been missing out on communication skills.

The biggest thing missing in my relationships, especially with my wife, was hiding behind a religious facade of shoulds and should nots, instead of embracing who I and others are, and be willing to open up and share the real me, who is interested in the real you.

My book is full of notations as there was so many amazing insights into this world of emotions.

Compelled to Control: Recovering Intimacy in Broken Relationships

This book will answer the questions as to why you find your relationship falling apart.

In my case, my wife and I drifted apart, and the harder we worked to control our worlds the farther apart our friendship grew.

We are by nature compelled to control, maybe it's time to find out if you are a control freak like I was.

My wife and I separated while going to a group similar to what this book talks about, and this book it part of the reason we are now back together again!
